Thank you for joining Halls of Torment Wiki as a contributor. The policies below help to ensure a smooth editing experience for all editors, we seek your cooperation to comply.
Editing Policy[]
- Integrity Policy: Verify all information through in-game testing before adding them to the Wiki.
- Depending on the severity, failure to comply may result in corrective measures. Repeated offences will result in stronger measures.
- If you are not sure how to verify some information, please seek help in our Wiki's Discord Server.
- Edit Summary Policy: Due to the small size of the contributor community, edit summaries are currently not required here. This may be subject to change in the future.
- Page Deletion Policy: If you wish for a page to be deleted, please change its content to
{{Delete}}
and inform the admin GKWS on their wall. Indicate the page and reason for deletion in your message. - Singular Term Policy: If you're creating a page about a collection of something (e.g., traits), the page name should be in the singular (e.g., Trait) instead of the plural (e.g., Traits).
- The plural form of the page should redirect to the singular.
- The exception is if the singular form comes in a set, e.g., Gloves.
- Verb Tense Policy: If explaining what an action does, Present Tense is preferred over Future Tense.
- E.g. (present tense): "Opening a chest reveals 3 items to select from."
- E.g. (future tense): "Opening a chest will reveal 3 items to select from."
Admin Policy[]
- First Offence Policy: Do not block a user on first offence, unless there is sufficient reason to believe that the user is a repeat offender using a different account.
- In cases where it is not clear, do not assume them to be the same account.
- Page Protection Policy: Pages with high traffic may be protected to only allow registered users to edit them. This reduces the risk of vandalism.
- If vandalism becomes rampant on the page, its protection may be elevated to admins-only.
