Game Mechanics

Torment functions as the hardest difficulty modifier in Halls of Torment.

It can be enabled by starting a round via the Shrine of Torment.

Artifacts & Level[]

Main article: Artifact

From the Shrine of Torment, Artifacts can be toggled on/off. Each active Artifact increases the Torment Level by 1.

It is possible to complete rounds at Torment Level 30 (abbreviated as T30).

Rarity[]

Torment introduces Rare variants of all items, which have stronger effects than even Uncommon variants.

Scaling[]

The following are scaled according to Torment Level:

  • Enemy Health: ×1.12[s 1] per Level
  • Enemy Defense: ×1.12[s 1] per Level
  • Enemy Damage: +5% per Level
  • Enemy Speed: +2% per Level
  • XP Drops: +5% per Level
  • Item Rarities: See Item § Rarity for details
  • Champion Spawns: ×0.95 Spawn Time per Level

Torment Shards[]

Main article: Torment Shard

Torment Shards are a currency which can only be earned with Agony/Torment enabled.

Notes[]

  • The Vault is the only Hall which cannot be accessed from the Shrine of Torment, due to its unique mechanics.
  • At T30 with Agony V, Champions spawn every 15.010s (accounting for Hastening Sands).
